Melinda Weigert

Melinda Weigert is an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who studied and gained professional work experience in Hungary and in the United Kingdom prior to moving to Australia.

Working with children and families from multicultural backgrounds, Melinda learnt to be culturally competent, practising respect, acceptance and equity. She continues to promote her values and beliefs on cultural competence in the roles she undertakes to provide welcoming and comforting environments and quality education to all families and their children.

Melinda currently works as a Trainer and Assessor, teaching and inspiring a new generation of Early Childhood Educators in New South Wales. Melinda became an Australian citizen in the recent past and enjoys the benefits of her title – ‘New Shelia in Town’.
