Jason Roberts, CEO
Jason Roberts entered the ECEC sector in 2013 as CEO of G8 Education. He spent four years in senior executive positions before transitioning out of the business in January 2018. His time at G8 has given him a very valuable insight into the managing of large childcare business and all the successes and challenges that come with them. Since leaving G8, Jason has continued to actively consult to the ECEC sector as an advisor, and launched The Sector website. Jason has significant business and financial experience having previously worked in a range of roles in London, Singapore and Australia. Jason’s key role at The Sector is to oversee strategy, provide opinion pieces and cover sector news. Jason is married with two beautiful sons, aged 3 years and 1 years old, both of which are enrolled in early education centres close to where he lives on the Gold Coast.
Freya Lucas, Editor
Freya Lucas has over 20 years experience in education and care services, with her previous roles as an early childhood teacher, primary teacher, and ECEC operations manager giving her a unique insight into the ECEC sector at all levels. Freya’s career has seen her work in private in-home care, primary schools, long day care, outside school hours care, in addition to tuition and library information and management settings. Freya’s key role at The Sector is to cover the latest ECEC news and provide insight and analysis into sector issues and developments. Freya is engaged with two sons aged 10 and 15. Freya has fond memories of the time her boys’ spent in the early education space.
Anna Boshell, Business Development and Marketing Manager
Anna Boshell has a unique background which blends business, marketing and communications experience with early childhood education and care. She has worked in the ECEC sector as a family day care provider and centre based educator, and has also held a variety of business development and management roles in the corporate sector. Anna’s core role at The Sector is to manage events, work with clients on advertising and sales, and to facilitate connections with the broader ECEC community, in Australia and beyond. Anna is married, with two school aged children.
Lyndsie Clark, Business Support
Lyndsie Clark has held a variety of roles in the niche B2B print and online publications and events. She has over 10 years experience producing publications and providing marketing solutions for business associations, and the companies and organisations that they represent. Lyndsie’s key role at The Sector is to provide effective marketing opportunities for products and services looking to reach an engaged ECEC readership. Lyndsie is married with two sons, aged 19 months, and 4 years, who both attend childcare.
