Guardian responds to parental enrolment anxiety during COVID with ‘FlexiFeb’ initiative
Guardian Childcare and Education have moved to address the hesitancy and concern of some parents about starting early childhood education and care (ECEC) or moving their child from another centre during the uncertainty of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
For the month of February the provider is offering “Flexi Feb” which allows families to secure their place at their chosen Childcare Centre by enrolling now and not having to attend until 1 March 2022.
“You can jump the queue and secure the days you want for your child, but you don’t have to attend before 1 March 2022” Guardian notes on its website, adding that for those families who choose to do some transition days in February, they will only pay for the days when the child is in attendance.
“Normally if your child is absent after their confirmed start date we would charge you the daily fee (or the gap fee if you receive CCS). With FlexiFeb there is no charge for the absent days for the month of February,” Guardian noted.
To take advantage of the offer families need to pay a bond to secure their child’s position. All confirmed offers with a start date in February will have the option to delay their start date up until 1 March 2022.
