UK-based operator The Childbase Partnership rewards staff again with Birthday dividend
The Childbase Partnership, an employee-owned UK-based early education and care provider, has for the second time this year announced that all team members, from apprentices to the chairman, will receive a dividend due to strong performances across the organisations network.
The interim partnership dividend will amount to up to £300 (A$545) for each team member and comes on top of a larger payment of up to £750 (A$1,363) received in January which represented a share of the surplus made by the organisation in 2018.
As reported by Day Nurseries, the news was announced to staff by founder and Chairman Mike Thompson at a birthday ball to mark the Group’s 30th anniversary.
The Childcare Partnership currently operates around 43 early learning centres, referred to as nurseries in the UK, across the South of England and, as well having over 50 per cent of all services rated outstanding, has been recognised as one of the top 100 companies to work for the last 12 years.
The organisation commenced its transition to an employee-owned company in 2,000 when the principle of profit sharing was expanded with the introduction of an easy “Save and Buy” share scheme.
Fast forwarding to today and the 1,600 strong team is invested in the organisation and committed to the success of The Childbase Partnership going forward.
Notably, The Childbase Foundation is no stranger to Australia having sent over four team members to participate in a research tour in November of last year.
The trip, which was organised with Goodstart Early Learning, saw the attendees meet senior Goodstart team members and tour a sample of Goodstart centres in New South Wales and Queensland.
